You will ride a Sur-Ron Light Bee, an electric dirt bike suited to both gentle outings and more demanding enduro rides. It has 6 kW of power, 250 Nm of torque, a weight of 49 kg and two operating modes.
From Dobrinishte to mountain chapels and Karpata
The route starts in Dobrinishte and takes in the Chapel of Saints Cosmas and Damian, the Monastery of Saint Panteleimon, Ribarnika Restaurant and the Karpata area before returning to Dobrinishte.
Your first landmark is the Chapel of Saints Cosmas and Damian. Beyond it, a forest track brings a more playful stretch of riding. Around 3–4 kilometres further along, you will see two smaller chapels, dedicated to Saint Demetrius and the Holy Saviour, locally known as Sveti Dimitar and Sveti Spas. Along the way, impressive views open up towards Bezbog Peak.
The tour continues towards the Sveti Nikola area, known for its archaeological excavations. Discoveries here provide evidence of settlement dating back to the Thracians, specifically the Dai tribe. This part of the route brings the area's ancient history into the mountain landscape.
A particular highlight is Karpata, where elevated viewpoints reveal the surrounding countryside and the Rila Mountains in the distance. After these panoramic stretches, the route leads back to Dobrinishte, bringing your two-hour ride to a close.

Who can take part
This is a shared group ride, so you may be joined by people you have not met before. The group has a maximum capacity of 5 participants. Riders must be at least 150 cm tall and weigh no more than 120 kg.
A driving licence is not required. Participants under 18 must have written parental consent. Bear in mind that this route is intended for intermediate riders rather than those trying an electric dirt bike for the first time.
Scheduling and weather conditions
Tours can be arranged any day of the week between 09:00 and 18:00, subject to an enquiry for your chosen date. Requests must be made at least 10 hours before the start. The experience lasts 2 hours and starts and finishes in Dobrinishte, near Bansko.
The ride is weather-dependent and only takes place when there is no snow cover and temperatures are above 15°C. Before setting off, you must phone the organising team using the contact number provided with your reservation information to check the weather conditions.
Under the activity organiser's cancellation policy, cancellation is free up to 24 hours before your scheduled ride.
Getting ready for your ride
Wear comfortable sports clothing and supportive footwear. Check the forecast and dress accordingly: the wind makes it feel colder while riding. Thermal base layers are recommended when temperatures are below 20°C.
Your clothes may get muddy or torn during the tour, so bringing a change for afterwards is a sensible precaution. Sandals, flip-flops and other open footwear are not permitted. Choose sturdy shoes or boots, preferably with ankle coverage and a firm sole.
You can bring your own action camera to capture the ride. Alternatively, ask the guide in advance whether a camera is available to use.

Riding in open footwear (sandals/flip-flops) is prohibited. Wear sturdy footwear, preferably high-top, with a firmer sole.
