The group meets at 10:00 am in the centre of Gorsko Kosovo, in Suhindol municipality. From there, you travel by car to the launch point beside the reservoir. After unloading your luggage, getting your equipment ready and attending a short briefing, you are due to launch at around 11:30 am.

You paddle towards the upper part of the reservoir, travelling through a narrow rocky passage known locally as the Dardanelles. Striking rock formations create a water corridor shaped over time. Beyond it, the scenery changes: the shores become wilder, the quiet more noticeable, and the natural surroundings take centre stage.

Along the way, the group stops on a suitable stretch of shore to rest, have lunch and enjoy some time in the sun. The day's distance is not fixed in advance; it is adjusted to the group's pace and energy. The emphasis is on finding a shared rhythm rather than covering a set number of kilometres.

In the late afternoon, you return to base camp. There is time to pitch your tent, arrange your sleeping space and get ready for dinner beside the campfire. The day ends outdoors beneath the open sky, with the water and shoreline providing the setting for the evening.

Day two: to the dam and back

The morning begins with a relaxed breakfast in the countryside. Afterwards, you return to your kayak and head towards the lower part of the reservoir. Your destination is the impressive dam, a place with its own history and interesting stories.

On the return journey, the group stops at a waterside restaurant for a break and something to eat. In the afternoon, you pack up camp and prepare to leave. You take home the satisfying tiredness of paddling, the feeling of time well spent outdoors and memories of two distinct routes.
