A lavender field made for photographs

The field doubles as an outdoor photo setting, with a vintage car, swings, hammocks and accessories available for visitors to use. Choose your favourite backdrop, take pictures on your own phone and try different settings and outfits. Your time in the field is unlimited within that day's opening hours, leaving room for breaks between photographs.

If you would prefer professional photographs, a photographer can be hired by prior arrangement. Professional photography is not among the services listed as included.

Places to relax, something sweet and lavender to take home

The field has designated rest areas, an eco toilet and a changing room where you can switch outfits before your next photographs. A refreshment caravan serves coffee, frappés, alcoholic drinks and waffles. The refreshing lavender lemonade and bubble waffle included in your experience give you something to enjoy between exploring the flowers and taking pictures.

Before leaving, you can gather your own little bunch of lavender with a sickle, using the traditional harvesting method. Along with your photographs, you will have a little of the field's fragrance to bring home.

The experience is suitable for children as well as adults. Choose a voucher for the number of people taking part:

• A visit for one person.
• A visit for two people.
• A visit for two adults and one child up to 16 years old.
• A visit for two adults and two children up to 16 years old.

This is not a private visit: other visitors you do not know may be in the field at the same time.

Location, season and visiting hours

YOUR PURPLE lavender field is in the village of Altimir, in the Vratsa region. The advertised visiting season runs from 10 June to 10 July, daily from 08:00 to 22:00. There is no time limit on your stay within the day of your visit and these opening hours.

This is a weather-dependent experience. The visiting season may be adjusted to reflect weather conditions.

Check the field conditions before travelling

Before setting off, call the organiser using the contact number provided to check that the field is suitable for a visit. The ground becomes muddy after rain. Please also be aware that bees and other insects may be present among the lavender.

The organiser states that cancellation is free of charge up to 24 hours before the reserved time.
