60-Minute Shared Hot Air Balloon Flight in Belogradchik

See the rock formations from a fresh perspective with a 60-minute shared hot air balloon flight in Belogradchik. Take in this remarkable landscape from the basket and add a memorable aerial experience to your visit. A hot air balloon offers one of the calmer, more leisurely ways to enjoy the scenery from above.

From a meadow among the rocks to the morning sky

The flight starts at Panairishteto, a small meadow among the rocks, around a three-minute walk from Belogradchik’s town square. The balloon initially travels low above the formations before climbing higher. The direction and strength of the wind determine where the flight continues.

Flights take place early in the morning, when the air and wind are at their calmest, to provide safe flying conditions. Your time in the air lasts 60 minutes. You share the flight with other participants you may not know, and at least two registered passengers are required for it to go ahead.

How the balloon climbs and lands

Heating the air inside the balloon’s envelope allows it to rise and maintain the required altitude. To descend, the air is allowed to cool. The landing takes place in a field, with hot air released through a large valve at the top of the envelope.

You land somewhere different from the launch site. The final part of the adventure is therefore a journey back by an off-road vehicle to the starting point.

A ceremony and memories to take home

If this is your first balloon flight, a special ceremony with sparkling wine and a symbolic “noble title” awaits. The included surprise ceremony forms part of the experience’s conclusion. Photos and video from your flight are also provided as a gift and sent to you via Viber.

• A place on a 60-minute shared hot air balloon flight.
• The necessary equipment and the crew responsible for operating the flight.
• A jeep transfer back to the launch site.
• A surprise ceremony with sparkling wine.
• Complimentary photos and video from the flight, sent via Viber.

Participants, age and weight requirements

The experience is suitable for children aged six and over. Participants aged six to twelve must either have an adult accompanying them in the balloon or written parental consent. The stated permitted weight range is 20 to 120 kg.

The source offer covers one, two or three adults, as well as one or two adults accompanied by one or two children. Your chosen party joins a shared flight rather than having a private balloon exclusively to themselves. The minimum of two registered passengers applies to the flight as a whole.

Flight season and preparation

The stated season runs from 1 April to 31 October, every day of the week, with a listed flight window of 08:00 to 09:00. At least 12 hours’ advance notice is required.

The crew will contact you three to four days before the planned date to discuss the weather forecast and confirm the launch location and time. Arrive 15 minutes early and wear comfortable sports clothing.

The flight is weather-dependent. If the weather changes after conditions have initially been confirmed, the provider reserves the right to cancel, including on the day of the flight, for safety reasons.

Provider terms and your Adventico voucher

The source offer states free cancellation up to 12 hours before the agreed time and gives the provider’s voucher an expiry date of 18 October 2027. These are the source provider’s terms, not automatically the conditions or validity period of an Adventico voucher.

Choose an Adventico voucher for a 60-minute hot air balloon flight in Belogradchik, whether for yourself or as a gift. A voucher does not immediately confirm a place on a particular date. Flight arrangements are made separately and remain subject to suitable weather and the minimum participant requirement.
