Head beyond the tarmac on an off-road buggy adventure in the Lozen Mountains near Sofia. Riverbed crossings, climbs and mountain views await, with a choice of two routes lasting 90 or 180 minutes. Ride with the experienced guide at the wheel, or try driving yourself if you meet the requirements.

The Adventico voucher covers an adventure in one buggy for up to three participants. It is an opportunity to spend time with friends or family, with separate conditions for children and anyone wishing to drive.

Route 1: 90 minutes and 20 km

The shorter route brings together varied off-road terrain in approximately an hour and a half. Along the way, you take in views from the Lozen Mountains and cross the bed of the Iskar River. Fast rally-style sections alternate with technical passages and dynamic climbs that challenge the person behind the wheel.

Route 2: 180 minutes and 40 km

The three-hour route follows cart tracks and dirt roads deeper into the Lozen Mountains. It also includes an Iskar riverbed crossing and dynamic climbs, with more time to explore the mountain terrain.

Panoramas along this route include Vitosha, Rila, the Balkan Mountains, Polovrak Peak and Iskar Reservoir. The longer drive combines adventurous terrain with different perspectives on the surrounding mountains and the reservoir.

Who drives and how many people can join

Both experiences accommodate up to three customers in one buggy, for either 90 or 180 minutes. The activity is arranged privately for your chosen number of participants rather than as a shared outing with strangers. The provider’s total capacity is two buggies for up to six customers.

After booking, you discuss with the team on arrival whether you will drive. Participants who wish to drive and meet the requirements can take turns within the total activity time. A category B driving licence is required to drive the buggy.

The experienced team guide stays in the buggy throughout. They drive when customers are riding as passengers, or remain alongside to offer advice and guidance when a customer takes the wheel.

What is included

• Hire of one Polaris RZR XP4 UTV buggy for the chosen duration and up to three participants.
• A prepared and fuelled buggy equipped with a navigation system and winch.
• A general safety briefing.
• An experienced guide who remains in the buggy throughout the experience.
• A helmet, T-shirt and coveralls.
• The opportunity for participants to drive, provided they meet the relevant requirements.

Age, height and weight requirements

The minimum age is 10. Under-18s aged 10 and above may participate only as passengers, accompanied by a parent, with a declaration signed by that parent on site. The fact that children can take part does not mean they are allowed to drive.

The stated participant weight range is 30–130 kg per person. For comfort during the activity, participants must be taller than 1.20 m, with a maximum weight of 130 kg each.

Participation after consuming alcohol or other intoxicating substances is not permitted.

When the adventure runs

In January, February, March, November and December, the experience runs on specific scheduled dates. The listed Saturday start time is 2:00 pm.

From April to October, the activity is offered daily, with dates arranged on request and subject to availability. In both periods, the experience is weather-dependent.

Preparation, arrival and video

• Contact the team on the supplied phone number the day before your reserved date to confirm the weather conditions.
• Arrive at the meeting point 30 minutes early for preparation and the safety briefing.
• If you would like to drive, bring the required category B driving licence and confirm the driving arrangements with the team on arrival.
• Your video is supplied by the team running the activity. Agree with them on site how it will be delivered to you.

Booking and cancellation

The activity provider states that cancellation is free of charge up to 48 hours before the reserved time slot. This condition relates to the scheduled activity and is not a general Adventico voucher refund policy.
