Acrylic Painting and Wine Workshop in Sofia

Explore a different side of art at an acrylic painting and wine workshop in Sofia. With guidance from artist Iliana Ovcharova, you will look beyond familiar brushes and canvases and discover how many ways there are to make a picture. Your imagination leads the way, while the company, a glass of wine for adults and light refreshments add to the creative experience.

A different take on painting and wine

This workshop puts a fresh spin on the familiar painting-and-wine format. Alongside paints and brushes, you may use unexpected tools that change the way you make marks on your chosen surface. A toilet roll in place of a brush or glass instead of canvas are examples of the directions a session might take; the actual materials and methods depend on that workshop’s theme.

The artistic media and techniques draw inspiration from the relationship between nature and everyday human life: the ways they combine, support one another and come into conflict. Each workshop therefore has a different theme, bringing an element of surprise to every session.

A starting point, with room to make it your own

The artist chooses the theme and creative direction in advance for each date. That gives you a starting point without taking away your freedom to improvise. Throughout the session, there is plenty of room to experiment, introduce your own ideas and develop an individual approach.

Iliana Ovcharova will guide you as you work on your picture. The session invites you to broaden your understanding of painting and discover the creative possibilities of materials you might not usually associate with art.
