Learn to scuba dive in Sozopol with a practical PADI Open Water course for beginners. Train with an instructor with 25 years of experience, start with theory and pool sessions, then complete at least four shore dives in the Sozopol area. The experience finishes with a cooking lesson focused on local Black Sea catch. After successful completion you receive the PADI Open Water Diver certification, allowing you to dive to 18 m.

What’s included

How the course runs

• Theory & pool: held over 2 days in Sozopol, between 1 April and 11 May 2026 (min. 10 h theory + 3 h pool);
• Open water: four shore dives in the Sozopol area, between 12 May and 16 June 2026 (≥45 min underwater per dive);
• All activities take place according to the dive center’s schedule and suitable weather conditions.

Culinary lesson & tasting

After the dives, join a hands‑on cooking session centered on local Black Sea catch—from preparation to tasting—paired with a short talk on the area’s marine life.

PADI certification

On successful completion you receive the internationally recognized PADI Open Water Diver certification, qualifying you to dive to 18 m.

Is this course right for you? The course follows PADI standards. On site you’ll sign a risk acknowledgement and liability release for the agency, dive center and instructor. The course is not offered to individuals with a history of asthma, diabetes, high blood pressure or perforated eardrum.
