The Golden Apple and the Dragon Escape Room in Sofia

Step into The Golden Apple and the Dragon escape room in Sofia and leave your everyday routine outside. This 60-minute adventure turns a much-loved Bulgarian folk tale into a world of puzzles, hidden objects and decisions for your team to work through together. Rather than listening to the story, you become part of it, moving the action forward with every discovery.

The experience is private to your own group, whether you bring family, friends or colleagues. Choose an Adventico voucher for the number of people taking part and give a shared adventure built around observation, resourcefulness and working together.

Become part of a Bulgarian folk tale

The game draws on the traditional story The Three Brothers and the Golden Apple. It takes you inside a cosy old Bulgarian house where magical apples, said to bring people happiness, have been hidden. A fierce dragon wants to claim them for himself, and it falls to a brave band of adventurers — your team — to challenge his plans.

Progress calls for ingenuity, a sharp eye for detail and cooperation. An apparently ordinary object may turn out to be a crucial clue, while solving one puzzle can reveal the next chapter of the adventure. Every discovery belongs to the unfolding story, bringing you closer to the final challenge and your chance to outwit the dragon.

A traditional home brought to life

Carefully chosen scenery and details recreate the character of an old Bulgarian home. Folk motifs do more than decorate the room: they help shape an imaginative setting where traditional ways of life and folk beliefs become part of an interactive adventure.

Professional special effects and intriguing puzzles add to the atmosphere. The experience is designed to engage your imagination and resourcefulness as well as your logical thinking and ability to spot connections. You are not watching the action from the sidelines. Your team's decisions are what make the story unfold.

Discover culture as you solve the mystery

Along the way, you will encounter authentic elements of traditional Bulgarian domestic life, ideas from folk beliefs and the distinctive character of local folklore. These cultural details are woven into the entertainment, offering an engaging way to discover and recognise aspects of Bulgarian heritage.

It is an experience different generations can enjoy together. A shared goal gives everyone a chance to contribute an observation or an idea, while the combination of culture, adventure and mental challenges creates moments to talk about long after you leave the room.

For families, friends and colleagues

The game was developed as an engaging challenge for adults, while also being suitable for families with children. It is recommended as an activity for different generations to share. The stated minimum age is 10, and teams made up of children are accepted when the participants are at least 10 years old.

Bring colleagues and swap everyday work tasks for a shared quest in a storybook setting. Exchanging ideas, comparing discoveries and coordinating your next move offer opportunities to practise communication and teamwork away from the usual workplace.

An English-language adaptation is also available. This makes the adventure suitable for international visitors who would like an entertaining, hands-on introduction to Bulgarian culture and traditions.
