Ready for your first hour in the sky? This 60‑minute introductory flying lesson from Sapareva Banya Airfield (LBSP) puts you at the controls of a light aircraft with dual controls, guided the whole time by a licensed flight instructor.

What you’ll do in the cockpit

• Takeoff and climb with real‑time instructions.
• Level flight and aircraft stabilisation.
• Turns, approach and landing preparation.
• Landing with instructor support and a short debrief.
• Hear real radio comms and learn how aircraft exit/enter airfield zones along the route.

Route and views

The base route flies over Lake Iskar with wide panoramas towards Vitosha and Rila. You depart from Sapareva Banya Airfield (LBSP), set at the foot of the Rila mountains; on weekends there’s an active skydiving drop zone nearby.

The lesson includes an intermediate landing at Ihtiman Airfield (LBHT), a modern light‑aircraft airfield where you’ll have time to see the hangar, the aircraft on site, the restaurant and the drop zone. All flights return to the original departure point.
