Flying Lesson near Sofia — Flight over the Slivnitsa Area

A flying lesson near Sofia gives you the chance to sit in the pilot's seat and take your first steps towards flying an aircraft. The experience is described as being just 25 km from Sofia: take-off is from the Dobroslavtsi area, with the flight taking place around Slivnitsa. Choose 20 or 30 minutes in the air to explore the basics of flying or simply enjoy the aerial views.

Beside the instructor in a two-seat ultralight

The flight uses a two-seat ultralight aircraft, with just the pilot and you as the sole passenger on board. Sitting alongside the pilot, you can closely observe their actions and demonstrations. If you would like to try and conditions are suitable, you may be able to repeat what you have been shown and take the controls with the pilot's guidance.

Ask the questions that interest you about the flight and use the time to get an introduction to the fundamentals of flying. Alternatively, sit back and enjoy the landscape from above. Taking the controls is not guaranteed in all circumstances: it depends on suitable conditions and your wish to participate.

A first step towards a bigger ambition

This flight could spark an interest that you later pursue through a full training course leading to a pilot's licence. The experience itself does not replace that training. It gives you a chance to discover how you feel in the cockpit and get a taste of flying before deciding whether to take it further.

You can also give the lesson to someone special: an unusual experience that shows you have thought about them and gives them a personal memory of being in the sky. Bring your own camera or a small video camera if you would like to capture the flight, the fun and, where conditions allow, your turn at the controls to share with friends afterwards.
