Set in the Karlovo Rose Valley area, the experience introduces you to both the local landscape and the hospitality of your hosts at the horse yard. After your time outdoors, settle into the yurt for a lunch they have prepared with care, turning the meal into a culinary journey of its own.

Choose horse riding or a carriage ride

Choose horse riding for 60 minutes exploring the picturesque countryside at the foot of the Balkan Mountains with an instructor. If you would prefer a different way to enjoy the outing, or have restrictions that prevent you from riding, you can take a horse-drawn carriage ride instead.

You choose between horse riding and the carriage ride when making your booking. The complete experience, including lunch, lasts approximately two to three hours.

A home-cooked Asian lunch in an authentic yurt

After the ride, lunch awaits in an authentic Kyrgyz yurt. Your hosts at the horse yard prepare the food themselves, drawing on flavours from Dungan, Korean, Chinese, Uzbek, Kyrgyz and Russian cuisines.

The menu includes:

• A main course with an accompanying dish.
• Two fresh salads.
• Dessert.
• Asian tea prepared in a wood-fired samovar.

What the package includes

• Horse riding with an instructor or a horse-drawn carriage ride, as selected when booking.
• Participation for one or two people, depending on your chosen package.
• Lunch in a yurt.

This is a shared group experience with other participants you may not know. Choosing a package for two does not make it a private outing.

Location, opening hours and booking

The experience takes place in Sokolitsa village, Karlovo municipality, in Plovdiv Province. It is offered year-round, every day between 9 am and 9 pm, with advance booking.

Request your visit at least 120 hours, or five days, in advance, and specify whether you would like horse riding or a carriage ride. The activity is weather-dependent, and your chosen date and time require confirmation when you book.

The organiser's stated cancellation policy allows free cancellation up to 48 hours before your booked time.

What to wear and information for children

Wear long trousers and closed-toe shoes for the experience.

The experience is also suitable for children. Children under seven can take the carriage ride free of charge, but they must ride with a parent. This concession applies to the carriage ride, not to the complete package including lunch.
