Japanese Cooking Class in Sofia – Part 2
Description
Japanese Cooking Class in Sofia – Part 2
Explore sushi, ramen and delicately crafted desserts with a Japanese cooking class in Sofia – Part 2. With Chef Nemigenchev guiding you, you will take an active role in the kitchen, discover new techniques and recipes, and learn more about the ideas behind Japan’s approach to food.
Japanese cuisine beyond flavour
Japan, known as the Land of the Rising Sun, is celebrated for its distinctive combination of tradition, culture and taste. Its discipline and attention to detail are also reflected in its cooking. Food here is about more than satisfying an appetite: it expresses an appreciation of balance and harmony in everyday life.
In Japanese cooking, visual artistry and the eating experience belong together. The apparent simplicity of individual elements carries a depth that gives meaning to the dish as a whole. This second part of the course offers a closer look at that culinary culture through some of its most recognisable dishes.
You will broaden your cooking experience through techniques and recipes while also exploring the philosophy behind Japanese food. Sushi, ramen and refined desserts are among the flavours and culinary traditions this experience introduces.
You can join Part 2 without taking Part 1
You do not need to have completed the first Japanese cooking class to enrol in the second. What matters is an interest in cooking and a willingness to carry out the tasks the chef assigns during the session.
Hands-on cooking in a working-kitchen setting
This is not a class where you simply watch a demonstration. Every participant actively cooks and contributes to preparing the dishes. The setting reflects the pace and practical demands of a real kitchen, with tasks for you to complete under Chef Nemigenchev’s guidance.
The planned duration is 4 hours. The actual length depends on the participants’ pace, however, and the class may finish later than advertised. Allow for this when planning your visit so that you can take part fully in both the cooking and the final part of the session.
Tasting your dishes and staying safe
Once the cooking is complete, you will taste the dishes you have prepared. An alcoholic drink is served only at this point, after the food is ready. No alcoholic drinks are served during the cooking itself, helping everyone maintain their concentration and ensuring a safe working environment.
What is included for one participant
- Participation in a cooking class with Chef Nemigenchev for one person.
- Everything needed for the class.
