Step beyond a simple ride and become part of the crew. This experience combines a genuine introductory flying lesson with a scenic flight from Lesnovo, revealing Sofia’s skyline, Vitosha, Iskar Reservoir and, on the longer route, the Seven Rila Lakes.

How it works
You start at Lesnovo Airfield with a concise safety briefing. After take-off, your instructor introduces the basics of flight: maintaining level flight, climbing and descending, making turns and following a set route. In safe sections, you can take the controls under the instructor’s supervision — a moment that’s hard to forget.

The aircraft
You’ll fly a Beechcraft Musketeer A23-24 (reg. LZ-KIS), a rare Super variant built in the USA in 1969 — one of only 369 of its kind worldwide. Powered by a 200 hp Lycoming boxer engine and a two‑blade variable‑pitch propeller, it blends stability, comfort and dynamic performance. With a range over 1,700 km and up to 8 hours endurance, it’s excellent for training and scenic missions alike.

Choose your route

• Vitosha circuit — ~40 minutes
  Route: Lesnovo – Pancharevo – Boyana – Pernik – Iskar Reservoir – Lesnovo. See Sofia from a new angle and trace the mountain’s ridgeline and the blue waters of Iskar.
• Seven Rila Lakes — ~60 minutes
  Route: Lesnovo – Iskar Reservoir – Seven Rila Lakes – Iskar Reservoir – Lesnovo. Head for the heart of Rila and enjoy the iconic view of the crystal-blue lakes.

Capacity and seating
The aircraft seats 3 passengers + 1 pilot. One passenger sits up front next to the pilot and receives the lesson; the other one or two travel in the back as observers — perfect for sharing the moment together.
