Glass Painting Workshop in Sofia, Borovo

Explore your creative side with a glass painting workshop in Sofia’s Borovo neighbourhood. Choose a glass object and turn it into your own colourful creation using stained-glass paints and outlines. The session gives you time to develop an idea, learn with guidance from artists and take your finished piece home.

Choose your glass canvas

The gallery offers a choice of glass objects and surfaces, so you can decide what you would like to make:

• A wine glass.
• A tea or coffee cup.
• A vase.
• A jar for spices or sweets.
• A framed glass panel for a picture.

The glassware is made from high-quality material. According to the organiser’s information, the paints are completely safe for health once the piece has been fired.

From your first idea to a finished piece

You will try glass painting with richly coloured stained-glass paints, using outlines to define the details of your design. If you have an idea of your own, a template can be made for you during the workshop on request. Artists will guide you as you work, helping you transfer your design onto your chosen glass surface.

Once the painting is complete, the piece is fired and you receive the finished item to take home. Afterwards, it can be washed by hand. It is not dishwasher-safe.

What the workshop includes

• A template made during the session on request.
• Guidance from artists.
• Firing and receipt of your finished piece.
• Complimentary water, a drink and refreshments from the gallery.

Participants, duration and location

The workshop takes place in Borovo, Sofia, and lasts between 120 and 150 minutes. Packages are available for one or two participants. Children can take part from the stated minimum age of 14.

Sessions may be held individually or in small groups, depending on what the gallery can accommodate. You may share the workshop with people you do not know; choosing a package for two does not in itself make the session private.

Scheduling and important restrictions

Workshops take place Monday to Friday, with weekend sessions available on request. The stated minimum advance notice for arranging a session is 72 hours.

The paints give off a strong smell while in use. For this reason, the workshop is not suitable for people with asthma or allergies to smells.

The source lists free cancellation up to 168 hours, or 7 days, before the scheduled session. It also gives a voucher validity date of 18 October 2027. These are the source’s terms and do not automatically apply to an Adventico voucher; check the applicable conditions when purchasing.

Give the gift of creative time

Choose an Adventico voucher for yourself or someone who enjoys making things by hand. It offers a creative experience and the opportunity to paint a personal keepsake. Buying a voucher does not confirm a reservation for a particular date or time.
