Two-day kayaking Nikopol Svishtov – a real adventure for nature sports lovers!

DAY 1: The beginning of a water journey

At 9:00 in the morning, the group gathers at the port in Svishtov – one of the oldest cities on the Danube, with a rich history dating back to Roman times. We leave the cars in a guarded parking lot and transfer by organized minibus to Nikopol.
After arrival, a brief instruction from an experienced guide follows, equipping and arranging luggage in the kayaks. Around noon we are already on the water, ready for the exciting exploration of the Danube world.
Our first stop is the impressive rock church "St. Stephen", carved into the vertical limestone rocks on the very shore – a little-known, but magnetic place where time seems to have stopped.
We continue amidst breathtaking landscapes – we pass by picturesque Danube islands: Gradina, Lakut, Palets, Golyam and Maluk Katunar, each with its own character and legends. We stop for lunch and sunbathing on one of them – a virgin piece of land with golden sand and crystal clear water.
The afternoon takes us to Persin Island, part of the "Persina" nature park – home to rare bird species. We set up camp on the very cape of the island.

DAY 2:

The morning begins with a fresh breakfast and aromatic coffee. We pack our luggage and set off again – this time on a new route through the misty water paths and dense river branches.
We stop for a beach and a short break on Milka Island – a green jewel in the middle of the river, inhabited by herons, cormorants and water turtles.
In the late afternoon we head back to Svishtov, where the adventure ends on the shore, just below the city port. For all those who want to continue the experience with the tastes of the river, we recommend lunch or an early dinner at the fish restaurant "Pametnitsite" – an emblematic place known for its excellent fish soup, grilled catfish and a calm view of the Danube.
