We leave the cars in a guarded parking lot and transfer by organized minibus to Nikopol.\u003cbr\u003eAfter arrival, a brief instruction from an experienced guide follows, equipping and arranging luggage in the kayaks. Around noon we are already on the water, ready for the exciting exploration of the Danube world.\u003cbr\u003eOur first stop is the impressive rock church \"St. Stephen\", carved into the vertical limestone rocks on the very shore – a little-known, but magnetic place where time seems to have stopped.\u003cbr\u003eWe continue amidst breathtaking landscapes – we pass by picturesque Danube islands: Gradina, Lakut, Palets, Golyam and Maluk Katunar, each with its own character and legends. We stop for lunch and sunbathing on one of them – a virgin piece of land with golden sand and crystal clear water.\u003cbr\u003eThe afternoon takes us to Persin Island, part of the \"Persina\" nature park – home to rare bird species. We set up camp on the very cape of the island.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eDAY 2:\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe morning begins with a fresh breakfast and aromatic coffee. We pack our luggage and set off again – this time on a new route through the misty water paths and dense river branches.\u003cbr\u003eWe stop for a beach and a short break on Milka Island – a green jewel in the middle of the river, inhabited by herons, cormorants and water turtles.\u003cbr\u003eIn the late afternoon we head back to Svishtov, where the adventure ends on the shore, just below the city port.
