DAY ONE – to the heart of the dam
Our water adventure begins at 10:00 AM in the center of Gorsko Kosovo village, Suhindol municipality. From there, we head by car to the starting point near the dam. We unload our luggage, get equipped, conduct a brief instruction, and around 11:30 AM, we launch into the water.
We head towards the upper part of the dam, passing through a narrow and impressive rock formation that locals call the Dardanelles – a true water corridor carved by time. There, the dam becomes wilder, quieter, and completely different – nature in its full splendor.
Along the way, we stop for a break, lunch, and a well-deserved dose of sunshine on a cozy shore. The distance depends on the pace and energy of the group – the day is ours!
In the late afternoon, we return to the base camp, where we set up tents and prepare for dinner around a campfire under the open sky.
DAY TWO – to the dam wall and back
We start the day with a quiet breakfast in nature, then head with the kayaks to the lower part of the dam. Our final destination is the impressive dam wall – a place with history and curious stories. On the way back, we stop at a lakeside restaurant for a well-deserved break and delicious food. In the afternoon, we pack up camp and depart – recharged, slightly tired, and full of memories.
