In the first hours after the event, the team's priority was to rescue the lake's inhabitants. More than 150 large fish, each over a metre long, were transferred to the second lake. They included carp, catfish, silver carp, grass carp and pike. According to Omaya, all of them continue to live in the property's waters.

The retreat's update states that results from geological investigations are awaited. Their purpose is to establish what caused the event and identify a safe, sustainable approach to stabilising and permanently closing the opening. Before taking action, the team wants sufficient evidence and confidence that the chosen solution will prevent it from reopening and ensure guest safety. Restoration of the drained lake has not been reported as finished.

Life beside the water continues around the second lake. New fishing and relaxation spots are being created there, giving guests places to enjoy the quiet, the water and the unusual wild landscape.
