Beginner Indoor Climbing Course in Sofia

Does climbing feel beyond your reach? Discover what the sport is really like with a beginner indoor climbing course in Sofia. Rather than watching from the sidelines, take your first steps on the wall in a controlled environment with guidance from a licensed instructor.

Your first skills on the climbing wall

The course introduces the fundamentals of climbing movement. You will learn knot tying, belaying and abseiling, with the instructor providing directions and supervising your practice throughout the sessions.

You will also learn how to train correctly to reduce the risk of injury. Routes of varying difficulty offer an introduction to the sport in a setting designed for learning and practice.

Where the course takes place

The climbing gym is inside a shopping mall in Sofia’s wider central area, in the Lozenets district. Training takes place indoors on routes with different difficulty levels.

Six sessions over two consecutive weeks

The usual course format spans two consecutive weeks, with evening sessions on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. There are six training days in total, with two hours of instruction each day, adding up to 12 hours.

You join a group of other people who have signed up for the course. A minimum of 4 and a maximum of 10 participants are required. Training days can be changed only by agreement with the whole group.

What the experience includes

• A place on a group indoor climbing course.
• Teaching, guidance and supervision from a licensed instructor.
• The listed equipment: harnesses, helmets and ropes.
• Gym hire for the training sessions.

The source provides for participation by either one or two people. In both cases, you join the wider group; this is not a private course.

Age, health and arrival

The minimum age is 16. Although the service is also marked as suitable for children, this age limit still applies.

You need to be in good health and physical condition and free from heart disease. Arrive 10–15 minutes before your reserved start time so that you are there before the session begins.

Course dates and advance reservations

The course runs on scheduled dates. The supplied source lists the following start dates, all at 19:00: 19 October 2025, 16 November 2025, 14 December 2025 and 8 March 2026. These dates have already passed and are not current booking opportunities; a future date must be confirmed with the organiser.

The stated advance-booking period is 168 hours, or 7 days, before the start. When planning, allow for the group format and the possibility that training days may change with everyone’s agreement.

Provider conditions and your voucher

The source lists free cancellation up to 168 hours, or 7 days, before the reserved start and a validity date of 18 October 2027. These are conditions published by the provider and do not automatically become Adventico voucher terms.

Choose an Adventico voucher for an introduction to climbing, whether for yourself or someone keen to try something new. The voucher does not immediately confirm a course place: the date and your place in a group are arranged through an advance reservation.
