writing and wine in Burgas

Writing and wine in Burgas with writer Boyan Boev invites you to rediscover the pleasure of writing by hand and let your thoughts find their way onto paper. The special Night of Museums edition described here was announced for 16 May 2026. It brought together writing, sharing, inspiration and a glass of wine in a setting where you could be yourself, without expectations, assessment or a need to prove anything.

There is no prescribed “right” way to write. You can follow words that arrive slowly and quietly or make room for those that appear in an unexpected rush. The experience offers an opportunity to turn your attention inward and explore what you want to express at that moment. Every gathering has its own atmosphere, themes and direction because each group brings different energy and stories.

Start with curiosity and see where the words lead

Writing in this kind of setting can become more than a creative exercise. It makes room for thoughts and emotions that do not always receive attention during a busy day. When you allow yourself to write freely, you may encounter a forgotten memory, a new idea or another perspective on something you have been considering. You do not need to decide in advance where your text will go or how it will end.

During the gathering, the facilitator gently guides you through creative processes that invite your imagination beyond familiar patterns of thinking. Sometimes the starting point is a word or quotation; at other times it is a card, object or image that prompts associations and stories. Some evenings include less conventional approaches through which the group creates shared images and texts. The process itself becomes a collective creative experience.

These invitations help you begin with a wish to express something that feels true to you. Instead of focusing entirely on whether the writing is “good”, you can experiment, follow associations and allow the text to develop in its own way. There is room for spontaneous words as well as pauses in which you simply sit with the page in front of you.

Sharing is always your choice

No one is required to read their writing aloud. Sharing is an invitation, and you choose whether to read your text, reveal only part of it or keep everything to yourself. You can take part fully through writing and listening without presenting your personal words to the group.

The atmosphere is calm, supportive and free from criticism. The aim is to experience the process without having your text assessed. There is space for laughter, silence, candid moments and thought-provoking creative practices. You can be reflective, emotional, inspired, talkative or simply curious about what might emerge on the page.

Writing is approached here as an expressive practice: a way to give form to thoughts, feelings and personal observations through words. Writing is also used in art therapy as a means of expression, organising thoughts and releasing tension through words. The artistic setting and the company of people who are also looking for inspiration offer time for personal expression and a brief pause from everyday routines.

Previous experience does not matter. You may write regularly, doubt your ability or never have tried anything like this before. What matters is a willingness to begin and allow yourself to write without predetermined expectations. Sometimes the most meaningful reader of your words is you.
