From Boyana to Momina Skala Hut

The route begins in Sofia’s Boyana neighbourhood. You pass Boyana Church and the Belyata Voda drinking fountain before continuing through the Tihiya Kat area. Other places along the way include the Bear Museum, the Beli Brezi Children’s Centre with its Owl Museum, the Arboretum and Zlatnite Mostove, also known as the Golden Bridges. The uphill part of the route takes you to Momina Skala Hut.

The meadow in front of the hut offers a place for a picnic if you would like to enjoy your food outdoors during the break. Afterwards, the route descends back to Boyana. Museum admission fees are not included.

Participation requirements

The stated minimum age is 16. The activity is intended for adults; participants aged 16–17 may join only with written parental permission and a parent present. The maximum participant weight is 100 kg.

You must already know how to ride a bicycle. Participation after consuming alcohol or intoxicating substances is not permitted.

Season, dates and preparation

The tour operates from 15 March to 30 November, with dates arranged on request. It is weather-dependent and requires the minimum number of participants for the chosen date.

• Bring drinking water and food, including anything you would like for a picnic outside the hut.
