Climb from Zavodna towards Benkovski Hut

The tour begins near the village of Ribaritsa in the Lovech region. Starting in the Zavodna area, you climb above the village as everyday surroundings give way to the shapes and scenery of the mountains. The route brings the group out onto the meadow before the hut, with open mountain views and fresh air all around.

From there, a mountain dirt road takes you higher and deeper into the forest. Centuries-old beech trees, rock formations and the river's flowing water and pools accompany the ride. These changing surroundings make the journey an essential part of the experience, rather than simply a way to reach the hut.

Home-style food and the journey to Vezhen Hut

The itinerary includes a stop at Benkovski Hut, where you can enjoy the home-style food served there. Afterwards, you get back on the bike and continue to explore the scenery around Vezhen Hut.

The return follows the same route downhill. Riding it in the opposite direction gives you another chance to take in the forest, rocks and river, with more time immersed in the mountain landscape.

Your electric dirt bike

You will ride a charged and serviced Sur-Ron Light Bee. This electric motorcycle can handle both gentle outings and more demanding enduro rides. This particular four-hour itinerary, however, is intended for riders with previous experience.

Season, timing and arrangements

The tour lasts 4 hours. Rides run from May to October, every day between 09:00 and 18:00, subject to an enquiry for your chosen date. Participation must be requested at least 10 hours before the start.

The activity is weather-dependent. Before setting off for the meeting location, you must telephone the team to check the weather conditions. Under the activity provider's cancellation policy, cancellation is free up to 24 hours before the agreed start time.

How to prepare for the ride

Wear comfortable sports clothing and check the forecast before choosing your layers. Wind makes it feel colder while riding, so do not judge what you need solely by how warm it feels when standing still. Thermal base layers are recommended below 20°C.

Choose sturdy footwear, preferably high-cut shoes or boots with firm soles. Sandals, flip-flops and other open footwear are not permitted. Your clothing may get muddy or tear during the tour, so consider bringing a change for afterwards.

You are welcome to bring your own action camera to capture the route. Alternatively, ask the guide in advance whether a spare camera is available; availability is not guaranteed.
