BOOM! The Room – Escape Challenge in Sofia

BOOM! The Room is an escape challenge in Sofia that swaps hidden objects and secret rooms for a very different mission: defusing a ticking bomb. You and your team will need quick thinking, a cool head and the ability to share information clearly and accurately while the clock keeps running.

Your final test as a special agent

You take on the role of a special agent sitting the final exam in explosive-device disposal. Rather than searching for a way out of a locked room, you must work out how to tackle high-tech devices under time pressure. Will you pass your bomb-disposal test, or will your team's answer be a resounding “BOOM!”?

This is not a conventional escape room, and it is not the experience to choose if you prefer staying firmly within your comfort zone. BOOM! puts your team into an escape scenario where you have to think on your feet, communicate under pressure and discover how well you understand each other when every explanation matters. Can you get exactly the right information across to the person who needs it?

A challenge you can take on again

If you finish wanting another round of explosive puzzles, there is something else to look forward to: the game can be played more than once. Returning gives you another opportunity to test your thinking speed and your team's communication. The challenge is not only to beat the ticking clock, but also to put yourself to the test again.

What the experience includes

• A bomb-defusal game for your selected team of two, three, four or five players.
• A playing area reserved for your team, with no outside players sharing it during your game.
• A briefing before the game to prepare you for the challenge.
• A host who sets the mood and, with a little luck, helps you avoid an in-game explosion.
• A souvenir photo taken after the game.

Duration and arrival

The game itself lasts 60 minutes. Allow another 15 minutes in total for the introductory briefing and the discussion afterwards. The organiser asks you to arrive 5–10 minutes before your reserved start time, so factor that early arrival into your visit as well.

Who can take part

The listed minimum age is 15. The organiser further specifies that players over 15 may play without an accompanying adult, while children over 10 may take part with an adult who also plays. Keep these accompanying-adult requirements in mind when planning a team of children or teenagers.

Important: the organiser does not recommend this game for people with colour blindness or photosensitive epilepsy.

Location and operating hours

The experience takes place at 122 Vasil Levski Boulevard, Sofia. The stated operating period is 2 January to 30 December, every day from Monday to Sunday, between 10:45 am and 10:00 pm. Each session is arranged privately for the selected number of players in your team.

Rescheduling and cancellation

Under the organiser's conditions, a registered team may change its booking date and time no more than twice. Each change must be made at least 48 hours before the game. The organiser also states that cancellation is free up to 48 hours before the reserved start time.
