It is a chance to enjoy the excitement of travelling beyond the well-trodden roads while discovering Ponor’s natural beauty up close. The mountains are more than a backdrop: their contours, views and challenges are central to the experience.

Starting point, duration and route

The experience takes place in the Ponor Mountains in Sofia Province. Depending on the weather, the starting point will be either the Chapel of St Petka or Vardishte Peak above the village of Brakyovtsi.

Choose a 3-hour or 6-hour outing. The organiser’s schedule also lists Kom Peak alongside these durations; the specific route and starting point should be clarified when arranging your visit, taking the weather into account.

What the experience includes

• A 4x4 jeep outing lasting either 3 or 6 hours, depending on your selection.
• Fuel for the outing.
• An instructor who also acts as the driver.
• Radios and binoculars.

Optional driving and barbecue

If you would like to experience handling the jeep off-road yourself, a driving option for one participant is available at an additional charge. You must hold a valid driving licence to take part in this option. Driving the vehicle yourself is not included in the standard experience.

You can also add a barbecue for an extra charge per person. Options are available for one, two, three or four participants.

Participants and restrictions

• Each jeep can carry a maximum of four people.
• The minimum age is 8 years.
• The stated participant weight range is 20–120 kg.
• The activity runs as a group experience and may include people you do not know; it is not advertised as a private outing.

Season, reservations and cancellation

Outings operate from May to October and are weather-dependent. Reservations must be made at least 24 hours in advance.

The organiser states that cancellation is free up to 24 hours before the reserved time. This is a condition of the activity itself, not a separate promise that Adventico will refund the voucher.
