Valchi Kamak — panoramic views at 1,650 metres

Your first option is a jeep safari to Valchi Kamak, described as the highest panoramic viewing platform on the Balkan Peninsula. It stands at 1,650 metres above sea level, and the scenic journey up is part of the pleasure of choosing this route.

At the top, a 360-degree panorama opens towards Rila, Pirin and the Greek Rhodopes. Alongside the sweeping mountain views, you will hear the legend associated with the platform's creation, adding a story to the landscape before you.

Eagle's Eye — a view over the Buynovo Gorge

The second option is a jeep safari to the Eagle's Eye viewing platform, also known as Orlovo Oko. It is situated on Sveti Iliya Peak, which rises to 1,563 metres, and overlooks the Buynovo Gorge.

You will have time to walk around, enjoy the scenery and take photographs. The open landscape and views into the gorge make this more than a brief stop: it is a mountain experience you can look back on long after the journey ends.

Mechi Vrah — mountain scenery at 1,920 metres

The third route takes you to Mechi Vrah, at 1,920 metres above sea level, in the foothills of Golyam Perelik, the highest peak in the Rhodopes. From here, the view stretches towards the eastern Rhodopes, with the Kazanite Reserve lying below you.

This is a panorama that is difficult to capture in someone else's account. The elevation, mountain outlines and view over the reserve are best appreciated by standing there and experiencing the setting for yourself.

The experience visits one of the three destinations of your choice; it is not a tour of all three locations.

Departure point and who can take part

The departure location is the village of Gyovren in the Smolyan region. The experience lasts 90 minutes and is arranged privately for your selected number of participants, up to a total of 6 people.

The safari is suitable for children aged 3 and over. Participants under 18 require parental consent and/or a parent to be present.

Advance reservations and conditions

The safari operates daily by advance reservation, between 08:30 and 18:00. Request your preferred start time at least 120 hours, or 5 days, in advance. The experience is weather-dependent.

The organiser states that cancellation is free up to 48 hours before the reserved time. This condition applies to the experience arranged with the organiser; it is not a general Adventico policy for cancelling a voucher purchase.

Give the choice of three Rhodope panoramas

Choose an Adventico voucher for a jeep safari from Gyovren and give someone the opportunity to discover one of these mountain viewpoints. It is also a way to share an adventure with your own group. Buying a voucher does not confirm a particular route, date or time; these are agreed when making the advance reservation.
