Introductory Flying Experience near Sapareva Banya – 20 Minutes

Take your first step into aviation with an introductory flying experience near Sapareva Banya. This 20-minute flight offers more than mountain views: it is a chance to discover how a light aircraft is flown, guided by a pilot-instructor. If you have ever wondered what it feels like to hold the controls, this experience lets you explore the difference between simply being a passenger and taking an active part in a flight.

Your introduction to the aircraft controls

You fly in a two-seat aircraft fitted with dual controls. A short pre-flight briefing introduces you to the aircraft and the basic actions involved in flying it. Under the pilot’s guidance, you can then take the controls and participate in fundamental manoeuvres: take-off, climbing, turning, level flight, approach and landing. This is an introductory experience with an instructor, not a solo flight.

Mountain views around Sapareva Banya

The departure point is Sapareva Banya Airfield in Kyustendil Province. During the 20-minute flight, the aircraft can climb to as much as 1,000 metres above the terrain. From the air, you can enjoy views of the Rila, Vitosha, Konyavska and Osogovo mountain ranges. The experience also suits you if your main wish is to see the mountain landscape from above rather than focus solely on trying the controls.
