Night Snowmobiling near Petrohan

Night snowmobiling near Petrohan brings together speed, winter excitement and snowy scenery beneath the stars. For a different way to experience the mountains after sunset, head out into the winter landscape for 80–90 minutes with a qualified guide. A helmet and fuel are included.

A winter adventure after dark

Snow-covered scenery and the sensation of travelling through it take on a different character at night. The excitement comes from the combination of speed, an adventurous thrill and the opportunity to see the winter landscape from a less familiar perspective. It is an invitation to swap your usual Saturday evening for time outdoors near Petrohan.

You can take part whether you are new to snowmobiling or already have experience. The organiser focuses on enjoyment and participant safety, with a qualified guide accompanying the group. You will join other participants whom you may not know; this is not a private outing exclusively for your own party.

Duration and what is included

  • An 80–90-minute snowmobiling experience.
  • A qualified guide.
  • A helmet and fuel.

The experience can be chosen for one person or for two people sharing a single snowmobile. When selecting your voucher, consider whether you want to take part on your own or share the same machine with another person.

Where and when it takes place

The activity takes place in the Petrohan area of Montana Province. The advertised season runs from 20 December to 22 March, with departures every Saturday evening at 20:00. The outing is weather-dependent, so your specific date and the conditions for going ahead need to be checked in advance.

Request your preferred slot at least 24 hours beforehand. On the day before your reserved date, contact the instructor using the telephone number provided to confirm the exact departure meeting point and the latest weather conditions. Use the confirmed meeting point, rather than the general area name alone, to plan your arrival.

What to wear for night snowmobiling

Dress in three layers to help you stay dry and protect yourself from cold, wind and snow:

  • Base layer: moisture-wicking clothing to help keep your body dry and protected.
  • Middle layer: a fleece or wool jumper to retain warmth and provide insulation.
  • Outer layer: windproof and waterproof clothing to shield you from cold wind and snow.

For your feet, choose thermal socks and well-insulated, waterproof boots. Bring a warm hat, a face covering and gloves for extra protection from the cold. A helmet is included in the activity, but you still need suitable winter clothing.

If you are missing any of the necessary clothing or equipment, let the guides know beforehand so they can arrange what you need for comfort and safety. Discuss any missing items before the day of the outing rather than leaving your preparation until you reach the meeting point.

Participation requirements and conditions

  • Minimum age: 16.
  • Stated participant weight range: 40–120 kg.
  • The activity takes place in a group with other participants you may not know.
  • The service is weather-dependent.

The activity organiser states that cancellation is free up to 12 hours before the agreed slot. This condition relates to the activity booking and should not be treated as a separate Adventico policy for refunding a purchased voucher.

How to prepare?

What should you wear? Three layers: the base layer should wick away moisture to keep your body dry and protected. The middle layer — a fleece or wool jumper — retains heat and insulates against the cold. The outer layer is the most important for protection against harsh weather: windproof and waterproof, it protects against cold wind and snow. Do not forget your feet: thermal socks and well-insulated, waterproof boots. For extra protection against the cold, wear a warm hat and face mask, as well as gloves. If you are missing any of these essential items, let your guides know in advance so they can provide everything you need for comfort and safety.
The day before your booked date, contact the instructor at the telephone number given above to confirm the departure meeting point and weather conditions.

When does it take place?

Every Saturday evening from 20:00, from 20 December to 22 March.
