Smart For Two Off-Road Driving for Two near Arbanasi and Veliko Tarnovo

Discover an unexpected side of a tiny city car with Smart For Two off-road driving for two near Arbanasi and Veliko Tarnovo. This is no ordinary Smart: specialist modifications turn it into a vehicle capable of tackling terrain that many other cars are not equipped for. Bring someone along and combine an unusual driving adventure with nature and sweeping views from the surrounding hills.

A small car transformed for off-road terrain

The Smart For Two has raised suspension and oversized off-road tyres. Its low weight and compact dimensions make it easy and comfortable to handle, while the modifications let it follow routes far removed from its usual urban setting. The organiser describes the vehicle as the first of its kind and the experience as unique in the Balkans.

There is more to the outing than the thrill of driving. The countryside and views from the hills around Veliko Tarnovo and Arbanasi are an essential part of the experience.

Choose a one-hour or two-hour adventure

The drive lasts either 1 or 2 hours. The one-hour outing follows a shorter, easier route and visits one or two scenic spots, with brief stops along the way.

Choose the two-hour experience if you would like more time behind the wheel and a longer adventure. This route covers a greater distance and more varied terrain.

What the experience includes

• An off-road outing for two in a modified Smart For Two for the chosen duration.
• A guide accompanying the participants in a separate vehicle.
• An individual briefing lasting between 5 and 10 minutes.
• A serviced vehicle adapted for off-road driving and supplied with the fuel required.

The outing takes place as part of a group that may include people you do not know. Having two seats in your car does not make this a private tour separate from the wider group.

Optional video or professional photography

Amateur smartphone filming is offered as an extra, capturing the experience from different angles to create a varied and comprehensive record. Filming lasts up to 1 hour, including when the drive itself is longer. You receive an edited video with music, ready to share on social media.

The other extra is professional photography using a camera, also for up to 1 hour. It includes action shots while driving and photographs taken at scenic stops. You receive finished, professionally edited images afterwards.

Meeting point and preparation

The experience starts at the organiser's base near the village of Arbanasi, in the Veliko Tarnovo area. The meeting instructions specify arrival 15 minutes before the start, while the paperwork instructions request 10–15 minutes, so allow at least 15 minutes before your scheduled time.

Before setting off, participants sign declarations concerning the operation of the vehicles and rental agreements. To drive the Smart For Two, you must hold a driving licence and be at least 18 years old. The experience is listed as suitable for children, but this does not override the driver's eligibility requirements. Contact the organiser using the phone number provided with the arrangements if you have questions or need further clarification.

Operating hours and weather restrictions

The stated operating period is 1 January to 31 December, Monday to Sunday, between 09:00 and 18:00. The organiser's information specifies at least 4 hours' advance notice.

This is a weather-dependent activity. Smart outings do not run in muddy conditions, rain or snowfall. The organiser's additional conditions explain that the car cannot be driven in deep mud, rain or heavy snow and that a replacement with one of its 4x4 vehicles is required in those circumstances. If poor weather is forecast, clarify the arrangements with the team rather than assuming the Smart outing will go ahead unchanged.
