painting-tea-moss-art-sofia
Painting and Tea in Sofia – Scandinavian Moss Art

Painting and tea in Sofia is a creative workshop by HoopoArt where you make a decorative picture using acrylic paints, Scandinavian moss and decorative materials. Enjoy a cup of aromatic tea as you work, choosing your own colours, combinations and composition rather than following a fixed design.

Your picture, not a prescribed template

There is no single correct result and no finished model you have to reproduce. Start with a colour, a detail or an idea for the whole composition. Arrange the elements as you wish and gradually turn a blank canvas into something that reflects your own taste.

You do not need to be an artist or have any previous experience. A willingness to try is enough. You do not even need to arrive with a clear idea of what to make: inspiration can develop as you experiment with the materials and see your picture take shape.

Acrylic colour, moss and decorative textures

Work on a 20 × 30 cm canvas with acrylic paints, brushes, Scandinavian moss, silicone and a range of decorative elements. The organiser introduces the basic steps and helps you understand how to work with the different materials. From there, your imagination and preferences guide the composition.

Acrylic colours combine with the natural texture of the moss to offer different effects within the same picture. Add dimension, explore contrasts and develop individual accents. The decorative materials let you extend your idea beyond paint alone, giving the finished work its own combination of surfaces and details.

Mixing techniques and textures takes the activity beyond conventional painting. Each choice, from a shade of colour to the position of a final detail, becomes part of your composition. Experimenting is part of the process rather than something to avoid, and your idea can evolve while you work.

Time to create over a cup of tea

Aromatic tea adds to the cosy atmosphere as you make your picture. The session gives you time to put everyday tasks aside and focus on colour, texture and the pleasure of making something. There is no expectation of perfection; the emphasis is on trying things and enjoying the process without unnecessary pressure.

The materials are provided and guidance is available, so you can concentrate on your own choices rather than gathering supplies or preparing a project in advance. Being free to change direction is part of what makes each finished picture personal.

Come on your own or share the inspiration

Choose the voucher option for one or two participants. The workshop offers a different kind of outing with a partner, a reason to get friends together or creative time with colleagues. There is room to chat, exchange ideas and enjoy the activity while each participant works on their own picture. You are also welcome to join on your own for time dedicated to your creativity.

At the end, take home the decorative picture you have made, with your chosen colours, textures and details. Display it at home or give it to someone special. Alongside the finished piece, you leave with the memory of spending time shaping an idea into something tangible.

Choose an Adventico voucher for HoopoArt's painting and tea workshop in Sofia, or give someone a creative experience with a personal, handmade result to take home.
