The people behind Atelie na Lunata

Milena and Anton founded Atelie na Lunata, whose name means Moon Studio, out of their fascination with ceramics and a desire to share their skills and experience with more people. They conceived it as a place where you can step away from everyday routines and enter a world of creativity, beauty and intuition — all qualities that have a place in working at the pottery wheel.

Milena is a trained ceramicist who fell in love with ceramics at her first encounter with the craft. She has taken part in several joint exhibitions and is also training as an art therapist. Her enthusiasm for clay gradually drew in her husband, Anton, who discovered a passion of his own for pottery.

They believe that a love of mud and clay is something we all carry within us. Growing up often means losing touch with it, but returning to the material can become an unforgettable experience. They also value and actively support individuality, making room for each person's own creative character.

Working with people who are exploring their sense of self through art and craft brings them particular happiness and fulfilment. That wish to share their knowledge makes the studio a place not only for producing pottery, but also for personal creative discovery.

Firing, collection and optional decoration

Firing is included in the lesson. The fired ceramic pieces are ready for collection after 10 working days, and you must collect them from the studio within 2 months.

If you wish, your vessels can also be glazed, personalised with lettering or decorated. These optional additions are not included in the experience and are paid for at the studio.

Location, age requirements and planning

• Location: Sofia.
• Participants: two people, with the lesson held privately for them.
• Duration: 90 minutes.
• Minimum age: 15; the activity is also suitable for children aged 15 and over.
• Session hours: Monday, Wednesday and Friday between 7 pm and 9 pm; Saturday and Sunday between 10 am and 5 pm.
• Requests must be made at least 120 hours, or 5 days, before your preferred visit.
• The organiser's stated cancellation policy allows free cancellation up to 48 hours before the scheduled session.
