Pressed Flower Art Workshop in Sofia

Bring a little of the natural world home with a pressed flower art workshop in Sofia. Choose real preserved flowers, arrange them into your own composition and leave with a finished piece that adds beauty and warmth to your home. It is a chance to work with your hands, find inspiration in nature and discover an art form that preserves the delicate character of flowers.

Discover Simona Krushkina’s floral art

For artist Simona Krushkina, preserving delicate flowers is both a personal mission and a way of life. This workshop introduces you to her creative practice and gives you the opportunity to make your own finished artwork using real pressed flowers.

Over approximately two hours, Simona will introduce you to flower-pressing techniques and guide you as you develop your floral composition. You choose which flowers to use, giving the piece its own character and making it personal to you. Once your arrangement is complete, it is laminated and framed on the spot. All that remains is to take your finished creation home and find the right place for it.

Make a picture or a little key house

At the workshop, you can choose between making a picture and decorating a small house-shaped key holder. Either way, you work with flowers and your own ideas for the arrangement, with the artist on hand to guide you throughout the activity.

What the experience includes

• A place in a group workshop for one or two people, depending on your chosen package.
• All the materials you need, including flowers, a frame, paints, brushes and other craft supplies.
• Guidance from an artist as you create your composition.
• On-site lamination and framing of your finished picture.
• Light refreshments: water, soft drinks, sweet and savoury snacks, plus a glass of wine for adult participants.

A creative gathering in central Sofia

The workshop takes place in the heart of Sofia in a relaxed, creative setting. You do not need to have an artistic background: it welcomes people who already enjoy making things as well as those who simply want to try something different.

Children can take part too, with a minimum age of 7. This is a shared group experience with other participants whom you may not know beforehand. The recommended minimum group size for the workshop to go ahead is 3 people, and the maximum is 12.
