Night Diving in Sozopol for Certified Divers
Description
Night Diving in Sozopol – Torch-Lit Exploration with an Instructor
Night diving in Sozopol reveals the Black Sea after daylight has faded below the surface. The shore grows quieter and your underwater torch picks out details that are easy to overlook during the day. Designed for certified divers, this experience offers a fresh perspective on familiar water, combining exploration with the distinctive stillness of a dive after sunset.
A briefing and equipment check
Your programme begins with a detailed briefing on the features of night diving. The instructor explains underwater communication, correct torch use, the planned route and the main safety rules. Before entering the sea, you will know what to expect and how to stay with the group in the different lighting conditions.
You then prepare the supplied equipment: a scuba cylinder, BCD, regulator, wetsuit, mask, fins, weights and your own dive torch for the session. Equipment is checked before entry and the instructor makes sure you are ready for the underwater part. Preparation and the briefing are included in the programme rather than offered as separate extras.
A shore entry and a route suited to conditions
You enter the water directly from the shore and explore in a small group accompanied by an instructor. Your torch gradually reveals the underwater landscape. Instead of an evenly lit daytime view, your attention moves to the shapes and details within its beam, changing the way you experience the seabed.
The maximum depth is 6 metres. The route is chosen according to sea conditions and the participants' experience, taking safety considerations into account. It is not a promise of a fixed route regardless of conditions: the state of the sea helps determine how each dive unfolds.
A small group with an experienced instructor
The dive is led by an instructor with 26 years of professional experience in diver training. Group size ranges from one to four divers. This small-group format supports a controlled, unhurried pace and individual attention during both preparation and the dive.
Allow approximately 90 minutes for equipment preparation, the briefing and the dive itself. Time underwater is around 35–40 minutes, depending on conditions and each diver's air consumption. The night-time setting differs from a daytime dive, which is why this offer is for already certified divers rather than a first introduction to scuba.
Choose an Adventico voucher for your next sea adventure or as a gift for a certified diver. The torch-lit landscape and the quiet after sunset offer a different way to explore the Black Sea off Sozopol.
