Flight Simulator in Sofia — Twin-Engine Aircraft
Description
What to expect: Flight Simulator in Sofia — Twin-Engine Aircraft
A flight simulator in Sofia with ROYAK puts you in a realistically recreated cockpit of a modern twin-engine aircraft. The aircraft model is used as a basis for training future professional pilots, but this experience does not require you to be a pilot or have previous aviation experience. Over 90 minutes, discover how decisions, controls and navigation come together in a simulated flight.
More than a screen in front of you
You have central flight controls, pedals, an engine-control console and modern avionics. A virtual world is designed to bring the experience close to real piloting. Each action belongs within the process rather than reducing the session to pressing buttons and watching scenery.
An instructor stays with you throughout, explaining what is happening and guiding your actions. Learn why a pilot uses a system, how they monitor position and what matters during different flight phases. It is a glimpse of the concentration, precision and control behind the apparent calm of a cockpit.
From preparation to engine shutdown
Begin with a pre-flight briefing introducing the cockpit, main systems and your chosen route. Explore what a pilot checks before departure and how the aircraft is prepared. Your first actions then have context rather than being disconnected instructions.
Take control with the instructor's guidance, working through engine start, taxi preparation, take-off, navigation, approach, landing and shutdown. Discover how control movements affect the aircraft and why judgement matters at each stage. Theory gradually becomes practical action.
Choose the virtual scenery and route
Four routes offer different views and navigation tasks. The actual experience takes place in Sofia; the cities and airfields below belong to your virtual flight.
Black Sea sunrise: Varna to Burgas
Start in the early hours as the first sunlight begins to change the sky. Warm colours spread across the horizon, Varna falls below and the sea creates a sense of open space as you turn along the coast towards Burgas. Fly from Varna towards Burgas, with the sea stretching to the horizon and the coastline beneath the wings. As the day develops, combine the controls with observations of the coastal scenery. Choose this route for a brighter, seaside atmosphere in your simulated journey.
Sunset towards Sofia: Plovdiv to Sofia
Head west from Plovdiv as the light softens. Sofia appears ahead, Vitosha rises in the distance and the city begins to light up. Prepare your approach against the last colours of the sky. Mountain views, city lights and the changing day give this route a different character. The landscape is not a fixed backdrop: as the sun sinks below the horizon, you continue towards the capital and watch the view change before landing.
Across the Balkan Mountains: Sofia to Gorna Oryahovitsa
Turn north towards the Balkan Mountains. The terrain changes, the mountains draw closer and another horizon opens beyond them. The route focuses on planning, tracking your position and managing the aircraft over changing terrain. Rather than simply following a line on a map, begin considering the journey as a pilot would.
Small airfields: Erden to Bohot
For a different starting point, depart from Erden's grass runway and continue towards Bohot. Large airports, long runways and complex infrastructure are no longer the focus. The emphasis is on flight, judgement and skills close to the terrain and the character of smaller airfields. Explore another perspective on aviation without leaving the simulator. Rather than a conventional departure from a large airport, the route places the flight itself and your own judgement at the centre.
Review, questions and a shared occasion
After the flight, you have a further 10 minutes for a debrief. Discuss how it went, review your decisions and ask the questions that arose at the controls. The conversation completes the process by connecting what you did with the reasons behind it.
The package covers one piloting participant. One companion may attend and watch; their presence does not include a second piloting session. A flight video recording is an optional extra, not an automatically included service.
You do not need prior aviation knowledge. Curiosity and a willingness to try are enough to begin, while the instructor supports the whole process. Choose an Adventico voucher for a flight simulator in Sofia and give the opportunity to select a route, take control and explore the work of a twin-engine cockpit.
