What happens on the water

The activity takes place in a group with other participants, who may be people you have not met before. At least four people must be signed up for it to go ahead. Participants take turns wakeboarding or riding the inflatable tube, one person at a time. The water activity time is shared by the group; with four participants, it is divided between all four rather than being an individual allowance for each person.

Whether you wakeboard, ride the tube or try both depends on the group's preferences and the instructor's assessment of participants' ages and the weather. An experienced professional skipper operates the motorboat, and a safety briefing and life jackets are provided before the activities begin.

Duration and transport to Dospat Reservoir

The listed duration is approximately 4.5 hours. The provider's description of the arrangements also states a total of around 4 hours, but then lists approximately 1 hour travelling to the reservoir, 1 hour returning and around 4.5 hours of water activities shared between four participants. These timings do not agree, so confirm both the overall trip length and the time on the water with the provider when arranging your visit.

Return transport is included from your accommodation in the Pamporovo, Smolyan or Shiroka Laka area. The exact collection point is agreed in advance.

Season, start time and preparation

The experience can be arranged daily from 1 June to 1 October, starting at 09:00, provided at least four participants have signed up and the weather is suitable. Booking requests must be made at least 12 hours in advance.

Call the provider using the contact details supplied on the day before your booked date. They will confirm the weather conditions and agree where to collect you in the Smolyan, Pamporovo or Shiroka Laka area. Bring suitable clothing, swimwear, a towel and water.

Children and participants under 18

The experience is listed as suitable for children, with a stated minimum age of 8. The additional conditions specify that children aged 8 or under may ride on the motorboat free of charge, while children over 8 may take part in the water activities and are charged at the adult rate. For a child who is exactly 8, confirm the applicable water activity participation rule with the provider.

Every participant under 18 must have their parent present on the motorboat.

The provider's booking conditions

The activity is weather-dependent. Under the provider's stated conditions, a booking cannot be changed once made, and free cancellation is not available.
