Wine and Lavender Tasting with a History Tour near Pomorie

Discover the scents of five premium Bulgarian lavender varieties, taste six wines with carefully paired gourmet bites, and explore the history of the setting. This wine and lavender tasting with a history tour near Pomorie brings three experiences together in a two-hour guided visit. The winery is in the Nessebar area of Burgas Province, making it a rewarding addition to a holiday around Pomorie.

Three experiences in one guided visit

The programme combines a wine tour, a historical tour and a lavender aroma tasting. Your guide stays with you throughout, sharing insights into the lavender and the wines as well as the history of the hill on which the winery stands. Alongside the scenery and scents, you get to discover the story of the place itself.

The winery team shares its knowledge and experience, inviting you to do more than look around. You can see the lavender up close, touch it and discover the distinctive fragrance of each variety.

Explore the aromas of five lavender varieties

The tour introduces you to five varieties of premium Bulgarian lavender. The team explains their characteristics and demonstrates a special technique for appreciating each variety's pure, delicate scent. It is a chance to notice aromatic differences that might otherwise pass you by on a walk beside a lavender field.

Six wines with thoughtfully paired gourmet bites

The wine tasting features two white wines, one rosé, two reds and a sweet dessert wine. Each comes with food selected to complement it, following the Food & Wine Pairing approach.

With guidance along the way, you learn how to assess wine and explore it alongside suitable food. The winery has earned more than 90 international medals and awards at some of the world's most prestigious wine competitions. This visit introduces you to its wines and its approach to tasting them.

Tour season and the best time for purple fields

Tours run in June and July, Monday to Saturday inclusive, between 10:00 and 18:00. During these months, tours are offered in Bulgarian, English, German and Russian.

Lavender begins to fade after 15 July, and the fields become less intensely coloured. If photographs against a purple backdrop are important to you, plan your visit before that date. The experience is weather-dependent.

Participation, dietary requests and restrictions

A minimum of two participants is required for the tour to run. This is a shared group experience, so other guests you do not know may join you. Guests under 18 attend free of charge and are provided with complimentary pretzel sticks and fruit juice.

A vegetarian or vegan menu can be prepared if arranged when booking in advance. Pets are not permitted on the tour, including in the lavender fields.

Booking and the organiser's cancellation policy

Arrange your reservation at least 24 hours before your intended visit. The organiser states that cancellation is free up to 24 hours before the reserved time.

Choose an Adventico voucher as a gift or for your own summer outing. It offers a chance to discover wine, lavender and local history; the date and time must be arranged through a separate reservation. Buying a voucher does not confirm a booked visit.
