Italian Cooking Class in Sofia – Emilia-Romagna, Option 2
Description
Italian Cooking Class in Sofia – The Flavours of Emilia-Romagna
Discover the flavours of Emilia-Romagna with an Italian cooking class in Sofia inspired by one of Italy’s most celebrated food regions. In Option 2, you will cook with Chef Nemigenchev and prepare a menu featuring aubergines, homemade raviolo and a contemporary take on tiramisu.
Traditional Italian cooking brings a sense of comfort and pleasure to the table. Its flavours tell stories, and each bite offers a way to discover them. This class puts you at the heart of the preparation, working with ingredients, sauces and textures rather than simply watching finished dishes appear in front of you.
A menu inspired by the flavours of Emilia-Romagna
This version of the class features three dishes that combine the familiar appeal of Italian cooking with close attention to preparation and presentation.
- Melanzane alla Parmigiana — succulent, carefully baked aubergines served with a delicate Parmesan sauce that brings out the deep flavours of this classic dish.
- Raviolo with ricotta cream, pancetta and leek — homemade filled pasta that gives equal attention to flavour and texture. It is served with a velvety leek cream, Parmesan and a brown butter sauce to bring the dish together.
- A modern interpretation of tiramisu — a fresh approach to the much-loved Italian dessert. You will prepare home-baked ladyfingers soaked in aromatic espresso and combine them with a luscious crémeux for a rich, delicate finish in every spoonful.
Cook actively rather than watch a demonstration
Every participant takes a hands-on role in preparing the dishes. Rather than being limited to a chef’s demonstration, the class recreates the atmosphere of a working kitchen, complete with its pace, tasks and practical demands.
The class is recommended for people who are interested in cooking and willing to follow instructions and complete the tasks Chef Nemigenchev sets during the session. You get to know the menu by taking part in the work yourself.
The advertised duration is 4 hours. However, the group’s pace determines the actual time needed, and the class may run longer than stated.
Taste the dishes once the cooking is complete
When all the dishes are ready, you will taste the food you and the other participants have prepared. An alcoholic drink is served only at the end of the class, during this tasting.
No alcoholic drinks are served while cooking is in progress. This rule helps participants maintain their concentration and supports a safe environment for the practical work.
