Spanish Desserts Cooking Class in Plovdiv

Explore Spain's sweeter side with a Spanish desserts cooking class in Plovdiv. Over four hours, the aromas of caramelised sugar, warm chocolate, almonds and fresh lemon will fill the kitchen as you work. Discover recipes that bring together Spanish tradition, contemporary presentation and rich flavours, while learning the techniques that make each dessert a success.

You will cook, explore new approaches and find inspiration in contrasting textures and aromas. The experience combines hands-on learning, delicious desserts and an enjoyable stretch of time devoted to making them.

San Sebastián Basque cheesecake

One of the desserts you will make is the celebrated San Sebastián Basque cheesecake. Its defining feature is the contrast between a delicate, creamy centre and a dark, caramelised top. That distinctive character has helped make it one of the world's most popular desserts.

As you prepare it, you will learn how to achieve the right texture, recognise when the cheesecake is ready and understand what gives it its characteristic flavour. The focus is not simply on following a recipe, but on recognising the important stages along the way.

Chocolate turrón with nuts and puffed rice

Next comes a modern take on traditional Spanish turrón. You will combine smooth chocolate, crunchy nuts and light puffed rice, bringing three contrasting textures together in one sweet treat.

This version is designed to be impressive, full of flavour and easy to serve. Making it gives you a closer understanding of how the chocolate base works with its crisp additions.

Filled lemon Magdalenas

The menu also includes Spanish Magdalenas: soft, fluffy little cakes with a delicate lemon fragrance and a creamy surprise at the centre. Fresh citrus flavour meets a tender crumb and the distinctive shape of the baked cake.

You will learn how to create an airy batter, add the filling and achieve an attractive domed top in the oven. This part of the class gives equal attention to a soft texture and a well-finished appearance.

Almond Panellets with pine nuts

The sweet journey finishes with Panellets, traditional Spanish sweets with a rich almond texture, gentle sweetness and a golden nut coating. You will work with almond dough and shape the sweets with almonds and pine nuts.

The professional chef will also explain the finer points of baking them so you understand how their characteristic finish is achieved. It is a chance to work with another type of dough and preparation method within the same class.

A fully equipped kitchen and professional guidance

All the ingredients are provided, and the session takes place in a fully equipped kitchen. A qualified chef leads the class, demonstrates techniques and shares useful advice as you cook. An apron is provided for you to use during the event, with coffee, tea and water also available.

After the class, you will receive the detailed recipes by email. Everything you make is yours to take home, and a food storage container is included. The experience therefore continues beyond the final kitchen task: you leave with your finished desserts and the recipes behind them.
