Two-Day Freediving Course in Varna – AIDA 2, Part 1
Description
Two-Day Freediving Course in Varna
Discover diving on a single breath with a two-day freediving course in Varna: AIDA 2, Part 1. Rather than relying on heavy, bulky scuba equipment, freediving brings together physical and mental preparation, a mask, snorkel, fins and the breath you take before going underwater. The experience description refers to depths of 15–20 metres as a possibility associated with this skill, not as a guaranteed personal achievement during the two-day course.
Build understanding and confidence underwater
The course introduces breathing techniques intended to help you develop longer breath holds. You will work towards spending more time underwater in greater comfort while learning how your body responds. Preparation combines knowledge of freediving with exercises in breathing, relaxation and movement.
A qualified freediving instructor accompanies you throughout the training. This is a group course with other participants you may not know; the voucher described is for one person.
Theory: 6 hours in total
Two theory sessions provide a total of 6 hours of learning. They cover freediving physiology, breathing and breath-holding, pressure equalisation techniques and safety. This gives the practical exercises a foundation in understanding what happens to your body as you dive.
Practical training: 5 hours in total
The practical component lasts 5 hours and includes one session each on breathing techniques, pressure equalisation, static apnea and dynamic apnea. You will work on breathing and relaxation, practise breath-holding, and explore horizontal underwater swimming and efficient fin movement.
Static apnea means holding your breath without moving, while dynamic apnea combines breath-holding with underwater movement. These exercises form part of instructor-led training, not an invitation to test your limits alone.
