Begin among the vines

Your visit starts among the vineyards, where the soil, sunshine and grapes shape the character of the wines to come. It is a chance to connect the rhythm of nature with the work of the people tending the vines, and to discover the traditions rooted in this place.

Weather permitting, the experience includes a walk beside the vineyard. Before tasting the wines, you can get a closer feel for the setting in which they begin their journey. This part of the visit is dependent on weather conditions.

Inside the winery: from grapes to wine

From the vineyards, you will step into the winery to learn about the winemaking process. Your hosts will explain their philosophy and show how care at each stage turns the fruit into wines with depth and a distinctive character.

The tour connects the history of the estate with the work behind the finished bottle. Rather than tasting a wine in isolation, you will be able to relate your first impressions to its origins and to the approach of the people who make it.

Seven wines, finishing with three Reserve selections

The tasting features seven wines, each with its own identity. Selections from the winery's different ranges introduce a variety of styles, including the flavours of rare Bulgarian grape varieties. The finale brings together three wines from the Reserve range.

Farmhouse bites accompany the wines, with servings included for the number of participants covered by your chosen package. The experience invites you to notice not only flavour, but also the aromas and impressions that linger after each sip. For your hosts, wine is more than a drink: it is an experience and an emotion to share.

A family story that began in 2001

Tsarev Brod is the family project of Ivan and Svetla, two agronomists who turned their love of the land and the vine into a shared venture. They began in 2001 with a Sauvignon Blanc vineyard that is now among the oldest in Bulgaria.

Further grape varieties followed over the years. They include Gergana, celebrated here as a rediscovered treasure of Bulgaria's grape-growing heritage, and the rare Evmolpia. Their story helps explain the meeting of tradition and innovation that you will encounter both in the vineyard and in your glass.

Participants, accompanying guests and inclusions

• The wine tour and tasting lasts 90 minutes.
• The experience includes seven wines and accompanying bites for the participants covered by the selected package.
• The visit is arranged individually for your selected number of participants.
• A minimum of two wine tasters is required; the maximum number of participants is 12.
• Wine tasting is available only to guests over 18.
• Children are welcome to enjoy the setting and share the provided bites and water.
• Under the winery's stated conditions, drivers and other guests who choose not to drink wine may attend free of charge.

Planning your visit

The experience takes place at Tsarev Brod Winery in the Shumen region. Visits are by advance reservation, Monday to Saturday, with start times of 11:00, 12:00, 13:00 or 14:00. Reservations must be requested at least 120 hours in advance.

The stated cancellation condition for the visit allows free cancellation up to 72 hours before the reserved start time.
